Then up to bourbon, turn right (or left…can’t remember) and head to Lafitte’s Blacksmith shop – the oldest bar in North America. Have yourself a daquiri if it’s hot, or a Hurricane. It’s also haunted. Then walk towards Esplanade on Bourbon and hook right at Esplanade, then left at Royal and hit the R Bar. Every Friday round 6ish they serve up Jambalaya or crawfish or other treats for tips. Then round the corner is Frenchmen street, and a plethora of great jazz and other music clubs. Eat some street food. Listen to that youth band that plays on the corner, make sure to tip everyone.
